Los Rosales is a Colombian specialty coffee grown region of farms in the department of Nariño. This region is very proximate to the Pacific Ocean, which makes a big climate influence to the area. Nariño, especially the municipalities of Buesaco and Tablón de Goméz, are known for the great specialty coffee that they produce. Caravela Coffee has been working with this association for more than two years helping them to focus on higher quality coffees. The farmers take pride on producing this wonderful coffee from the region.
The region has cool nights and warm days, which slows down the coffee maturation, achieving a distinct sweetness. Its name comes from the beautiful roses that are grown in the farms which influence on their sweet and heady flavors.

About 50 small coffee growers that deliver coffee to CoopEspeciales warehouse in Buesaco.
Buesaco and Tablón de Gómez
70% Caturra, 10% Típica, 10% Castillo, 10% Colombia
Naturally fermentation in cement tanks for 12-16 hours and then fully-washed in micro-mills at each farm
Plantain, Cachimbo, Guamo and Nogal trees (40% shade cover).
Main Harvest: April-July Mitaca: November- February.
Fully sun-dried at each farm, on cement patios.
