In the 2005 Colombia Cup of Excellence, a farmer named Gregorio Arnulfo Botina won the competition. The winner was a farmer from “El Aguacate” farm in Sandoná, Nariño.
However, neither the juries nor the spectators knew that the lot was actually a blend from 19 different producer lots that hadn’t present themselves before.
in 2013, Caravela was able to establish a relationship by placing a cupping lab and a warehouse in Santa Barbara in order to purchase their best coffee.
El Aguacate has a round body in its cup with a green apple acidity and notes of syrup and cherry.
